The College of Pharmacy is looking for an experienced highly motivated and energetic, Content Marketing and Communications Manager who wants to tell (communications) and sell (marketing) both the creative and technical stories and news of our #2 College to help recruit prospective students and support philanthropic efforts. What You'll Do

Marketing, Communications, Content (45%) Planning + Generation + Editing + Publishing: Working with the Director, you will play a key role and be relied on for your expertise in the continued development, management and deployment of the marketing plan, campaigns, content calendar, internal and external communications across all channels. Much of your time will be spent executing: ideating and mining for stories/themes/topics, creatively writing them across formats (including but not limited to: written, video, and audio) while maintaining consistency and cohesion with brand guidelines and messaging. Success in this role will require the ability to develop 1) technical and complex content for research audiences and translate it for the general public 2) creative, fun, audience relevant content. This role is responsible for developing marketing collateral for the College and will support the upcoming Intranet redesign. Digital + Social Media + Traditional Marketing (30%): Once the content is generated, this role is responsible for strategically executing plans and campaigns by publishing content across appropriate and relevant channels. This means that while you have a passion for writing, you are also excited to go to market and socially listen. Successful candidates will understand social media best practices and are comfortable having a social calendar that publishes daily. In addition, candidates have knowledge or are interested in learning how to run (but not limited to) paid search, email, paid and organic social campaigns, creating landing pages, and updating and creating web pages. Project Management (25%): As part of a growing team, you will use Asana to oversee and ensure all project details, deadlines, deliverables are met - keeping your team and colleagues you are working with informed of project status and gaining approvals. In this role, you will be empowered to create, establish, and document processes for how work will get completed, including updating style and writing guides. Required Qualifications*

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations or related field 5+ years of experience generating content for marketing, communications, PR Experience writing across a variety of stakeholders: prospective and current students, media, faculty, staff, alumni Experience writing for healthcare and pharmacy (a plus), or related field Experience creating content for digital marketing and social media platforms Knowledge of traditional methods such as direct mail, print, and events Experience writing both technical and creatively, including the ability to translate technical topics for general public understanding Creative and curious, loves to learn Positive, proactive, service-oriented, collaborative Ability to work independently and as part of a team Builds positive trusting relationships with team, colleagues and students Open and adaptable to working with different teams Willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done Experienced project manager Follows current writing standards Experience with WordPress and updating/creating web pages Experience with Sprout Social, Constant Contact or related tools Ability to attend and cover activities and events outside of working hours and on weekends Comfort working with all levels including senior members of the College of Pharmacy Open and willing to take on other duties as assigned
