Position Summary
The Mexican Snacks Category Marketing Director leads, directs and manages the assigned Jose Ole branded portfolio to deliver and/or exceed sales and profit targets. The Category Marketing Director will provide strategic marketing leadership and partner with cross functional teams within the organization to realize strategic objectives. Additional Details: Reports to the VP, CPG Category Marketing directly Hybrid role, based in Ontario, California Oversees one direct report
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Define and Own Category Vision:
Lead the long-term vision and strategy for the Mexican snacks product portfolio, grounded in a deep understanding of our brand, consumers, and business objectives. P&L ownership:
Manage your business to meet or exceed financial targets. Opportunity Identification:
Identify and evaluate growth opportunities across the category, including white-space areas, partnerships, and channel expansion. New Platform Development:
Lead projects for new platforms, from ideation through execution, including product briefs and lifecycle management. Consumer & Market Insights:
Leverage consumer insights, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product strategy, value propositions, and feature sets. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Consumer Insights, R&D, Sales, Shopper Marketing, Digital Marketing and Operations to drive informed business decisions. Team training and development:
Ability to motivate self and others.
Position Qualifications
BA/BS degree. MBA degree preferred. 5+ years of brand management experience. Demonstrated success in cross functional leadership and project management. Proven financial management skills. Proven financial management skills and P&L literacy (general manager mindset) Understanding of retailer landscape: Grocery, Mass, Club, etc Demonstrated communication skills across a variety of tools and audiences, including senior leaders. Proven working knowledge of market research and demonstrated analytical skills. Fluent in Circana/Nielsen POS data Excited and willing to try new foods, including animal proteins. Demonstrated passion for global foods preferable Ability to work in a fast moving, fast changing environment, adept at prioritizing and juggling multiple projects at once Pay range is $170,000 to $190,000 #INDONT
