is seeking a
Manufacturing Engineer
with
aerospace or relevant metal forming experience . This company operates with cutting-edge manufacturing processes, including
Hot & Cold Heading, Nut Forming, Screw Machining, Sheet Metal Nuts and Baskets, Tapping, Crimping, Machining, Threading, Grinding, Assembly, Heat Treating, and Plating. This is an
onsite leadership role
with a focus on
shop floor planning, process optimization, and operational excellence . The ideal candidate has experience leading planners, driving improvements in scheduling, and managing plant operations in a
$150M+ revenue
manufacturing environment. The Role As a
Manufacturing Engineer , you will oversee production planning, enhance process efficiencies, and lead a team of
planners
to meet operational goals. You will work hands-on with the
shop floor team
and collaborate with
engineering and supply chain teams
to optimize production. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Process Oversight: Lead and optimize
metal forming
manufacturing processes (hot & cold heading, nut forming, machining, grinding, threading, and assembly). Implement
lean manufacturing
and
continuous improvement
strategies to reduce waste and increase efficiency. Identify and execute
process improvements
for quality, cost, and production speed. Shop Floor & Plant Operations Leadership: Direct
shop floor planning and scheduling
to align with production goals. Manage daily plant operations, ensuring streamlined execution of
manufacturing workflows . Be an
onsite leader
5+ days per week , setting expectations for a team where many direct reports work
6 days a week . Mentor and coach
planners
on best practices in
scheduling and materials planning
(this is not a procurement role). Drive
cross-functional collaboration
between manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams. Oversee staffing, training, and leadership development for
direct reports
in plant operations. Supply Chain & Scheduling Improvement: Lead
Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) implementation
to improve forecasting and production efficiency. Drive
master scheduling improvements
to optimize material flow and reduce downtime. Utilize
data-driven decision-making
to enhance inventory and production management. What We’re Looking For 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or Supply Chain Management with strong Manufacturing process experience , ideally in
aerospace or precision metal forming . Strong leadership experience —must have prior experience
coaching and mentoring planners . Shop floor planning experience
and
direct plant operations exposure . Experience managing
$150M+ revenue operations
with
direct reports . SIOP implementation experience
and a track record of improving scheduling processes. Bachelor's degree in
Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
preferred. Proficiency in
MRP/ERP systems
and
Microsoft Office Suite . Willingness to be
onsite 5+ days a week , leading a
