An esteemed AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a seasoned Commercial Litigation Attorney to take a lead role in their Los Angeles office. This position offers the opportunity to manage complex litigation cases, including high-profile business disputes and multi-jurisdictional issues. Salary:
$175,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and oversee all aspects of complex commercial litigation matters. Lead litigation strategy, including drafting of pleadings, motions, and managing comprehensive discovery processes. Prepare for and conduct depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations effectively. Represent clients in state and federal courts, ensuring adept handling of trial processes and litigations. Collaborate extensively with a team of expert trial attorneys to align on litigation approaches and case management. Drive business development activities to further strengthen the firm’s presence in the Los Angeles market. Minimum Position Qualifications: JD from a top-tier law school with a commendable academic record. Must have a valid Bar Admission in California and be in good standing. A minimum of 10 years proven experience in complex commercial litigation, with substantial trial exposure in diverse courts. Significant experience in drafting legal documents, managing discovery, and preparing for depositions. Strong proficiency in arguing discovery motions, dispositive motions, and class certification motions. Demonstrated ability to manage cases from inception through resolution. Preferred Qualifications: Experienced in high-profile and multi-jurisdictional cases. Background in leading mediation and settlement discussions. Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Skills: Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. Strong leadership capabilities and ability to manage a dynamic team. Expertise in commercial litigation and procedural laws applicable to state and federal courts. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and tight deadlines.
