**Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our healthcare team. Under general supervision, you will perform all CT procedures while adhering to best practices and safety protocols. As a CT Technologist, you will operate computed tomography and radiography equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout each examination.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Prepare examination areas for CT procedures, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of necessary supplies. - Position patients accurately for CT procedures and adjust imaging equipment settings to obtain optimal results. - Assist physicians during examinations, including the administration of contrast materials and medications, while utilizing sterile technique when applicable. - Transfer image data to PACS and V-RAD environments for physician review and interpretation. - Maintain accurate records and technical notations as required by regulatory agencies, ensuring all files and records are correctly completed. - Draw blood and introduce IVs according to established procedures. - Assist in scheduling and managing the flow of CT examinations to optimize equipment utilization and workforce efficiency. - Demonstrate and instruct radiologic technology students and other personnel on CT equipment operation and theory, participating in formal teaching and in-service education programs as necessary. - Perform clerical tasks related to the department, including retrieving radiographic film records, filing, answering phones, and registering and scheduling patients.
**Qualifications:**
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or 1 year in Computed Tomography is required. - Active certifications in ARRT and BLS (AHA) are mandatory at the time of submission. - Maryland state license is required. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
**Additional Information:**
This position will require an on-call schedule determined by facility needs and will also encompass weekend shifts as necessary.
