**Shift: Night (3x12-Hour: 19:00 - 07:30)**
**Job Description:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist with a focus on Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to provide exceptional patient care. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience, and we welcome first-time travelers who possess a strong skill set. Certification requirements include RRT, PALS, and NRP.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver effective respiratory therapy to neonates, pediatric, and adult patients. - Assist in high-risk deliveries and engage in neonatal transports between departments. - Utilize advanced respiratory equipment, including high-frequency jet ventilators and ECMO. - Monitor and interpret various clinical assessments, including ABG and capillary blood gases. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. - Participate in patient education and family support initiatives.
**Required Qualifications:**
- Active RRT certification and state license. - Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP. - Two years of experience in a clinical respiratory therapy setting. - Preferred experience with Level 1 Trauma and Level 4 NICU. - Previous charge experience is preferred. - Familiarity with Epic charting system is an advantage.
**Patient Care Details:**
- Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Pediatrics, and Adults - Daily Census: 6-7 ventilated patients - Unit Specialties: Critical Care Respiratory Therapy, Level 4 NICU, Med/Surge Intensive Care
**Scheduling & Compliance:**
- 36 or 48 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday. - No on-call duty required. - Compliance documents are due 5 days prior to start; including certifications and lab tests.
**Important Information:**
- Two satisfactory professional references required (1 supervisor/manager and 1 charge RN). - Candidates must reside 50 miles or over from the healthcare facility. - Must be comfortable with floating as needed within the healthcare system.
