Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA. The selected candidate will represent the Quality and Mission Excellence department supporting a program or programs in a Program Quality Engineer role, with responsibility for the overall program quality over the lifecycle of the program or subsets of the program. Role and Responsibilities: The Quality Engineer supports a Program or Programs in a Program Quality Engineer role, with responsibility for the overall program quality over the lifecycle of the program. The Program Quality Engineer’s primary responsibilities include: Developing and supporting Program proposal activities.

Developing and implementing the Program Quality Plan.

Planning/establishing the baseline for the Program quality scope.

Supporting execution of the Program’s procurement, manufacturing, and test plans.

Monitoring and controlling both supplier and manufacturing performance.

Driving and supporting Continuous Improvement (CI) activities on the Program.

Establishing good working relationships with customer and government representatives.

Additionally, the Quality Engineer: Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials.

Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

Implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products and production equipment.

Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes and conducts quality assurance tests.

Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards.

Basic Qualifications (Quality Engineer): Bachelor's degree in a related STEM field and 2+ years of experience in a quality assurance, mission assurance, or related engineering role.

Familiarity with standard Visual and Mechanical Inspection techniques and tools.

Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action.

Ability to travel, up to 10%.

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance (US Citizenship required).

Salary Range:

$81,300 - $121,900 Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
