As a Development and Tools Engineer, you will be part of the Car Experience Systems Engineering team that defines and supports the development and adoption of how iPhone and vehicles communicate, enabling the user experiences used and loved by our customers every day the world over. You will support the development and testing of new and existing automotive iOS features by crafting reference designs, crafting test and simulation tools, and presenting with automotive partners to support their integration efforts. Key Qualifications

5 years or more software development experience on iOS and/or macOS platforms using Swift, Objective-C, and C, with frameworks, application development, and user interface experience preferred. Experience crafting system test and validation tools. Experience with developing software released to production environment. Experience with object-oriented programming and design. Description

Apple’s Car Experience engineering group is looking for talented engineers to support developing new features and build high-quality automotive system simulation tools. This role requires strong software engineering skills and a proven appreciation of how phenomenal user experiences require deep technical thought and consideration. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a diverse group. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, with an ability to multitask, prioritize, and follow through. Education & Experience

BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Systems Engineering. Additional Requirements

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
