to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Staffing support to all space systems and space programs.
Conducting periodic performance evaluations, including mid-year and annual reviews.
Providing technical leadership and guidance to the staff.
Managing indirect and capital needs.
Professional development and mentoring of direct reports.
Supporting Functional Homeroom initiatives and projects which include process improvement, Event Response Teams, Corrective, and Preventive Action implementation.
PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Generating, issuing, and overseeing production work orders and coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production and IMS requirements.
Scheduling equipment and personnel, confirming material supply and demands, preparing purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
Coordinating interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, and various stakeholders; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
Responsible for the direct supervision and leadership of the team, managing configuration reconciliation, schedule, technical performance, and quality of work packages.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree plus 6 years’ experience in logistics, hardware management, or related field within a production, planning, or scheduling environment
OR
Master’s Degree plus 4 years’ experience in logistics, hardware management, or related field within a production, planning or scheduling environment
OR
High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (G.E.D) plus 10 years’ experience in logistics, hardware management, or related field within a production, planning, or scheduling environment.
Proven leadership experience on a project and/or team.
Experience in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance or SCI access.
Preferred Qualifications: Active DoD Top Secret clearance or SCI access.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
Experience with Integration & Test, defense, aerospace or high-reliability product development industries.
Knowledge of project schedule baselining and scope definition.
Experience with Solumina/MES and SAP/MRP.
Experience with MS Access and MS Project.
Experience with Flight Hardware and Configuration Management.
Salary Range:
$117,600 - $176,400 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
