Travel Nurse Job Details Location: Los Alamos, NM 87544 (New Mexico nursing jobs) Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 - December 8, 2025) Shift: 8-hour day shifts (06:30 - 14:30) with on-call nights and weekends Hours per Week: 40 Setting: PACU/Preop (shared position) Patient Ratio: 1:1 or 1:2 Unit Beds: 3 Orientation: Weekly, starting Mondays Estimated Weekly Salary: $1810-$1950 PACU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required for all PACU nurse jobs) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required at submission) Minimum 2 years of recent Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) experience Preop nursing experience preferred Ability to respond to on-call cases within 30 minutes Compliance with New Mexico state fingerprinting and background check requirements (travel nurses may start on a 14-day waiver while results are pending) PACU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to post-anesthesia patients in the PACU and assist with Preop as needed Monitor and assess patients' recovery from anesthesia, ensuring patient safety and comfort Respond promptly to on-call cases, including nights and weekends Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to achieve excellent patient outcomes Document patient care using CQI and Medhost EHR systems Care for primarily adult patients, with occasional pediatric ENT cases Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
