This position involves providing outstanding nursing care to surgical patients before and after their procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their recovery process. The ideal candidate will have prior PACU experience, as well as familiarity with preoperative care. Key Responsibilities: - Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and conditions during the preoperative and postoperative phases.- Administer medications and manage pain control in accordance with established protocols.- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the surgical process and post-anesthesia care.- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to ensure seamless patient care.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using an electronic health record (EHR) system.- Participate in on-call coverage, responding to cases within a 30-minute time frame when notified. Unit Information: - Number of Beds: 3 - Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 - Equipment: EHR: CQI, Medhost - Patient Population: Primarily adults with occasional pediatric cases, including ENT procedures once a month. Minimum Qualifications: - Valid RN license in the state of (State)- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a strong preference for candidates with prior PACU experience.- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
