Description and Requirements

Job Description:

Responsible for driving business sales, retention, and growing existing client revenue. Manage client relationships and drive profitability, satisfaction, and organic growth. Manage a team of client service and underwriting staff.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain business relationships with sales associates, underwriters, and insurance company representatives.
• Solicit submissions from sales associates.
• Provide quotes for insurance coverage and successfully place accounts.
• Accountable for full cycle recruitment, management, and development of assigned team, including monitoring work, performance management, and training.
• Handle complaints and inquiries.
• Communicate account and business problems to branch or division manager, including complaints and potential errors and omissions incidents.
• Collect unpaid receivables from sales associates using the companys accounting system.
• Obtain and maintain production levels established by branch or division manager.
• Keep current with insurance products and industry trends, including advantages and disadvantages.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 3-5 years of experience in insurance brokerage, carrier, or related business sales, including calling on senior executives.
• College degree preferred.
• Must hold or obtain Property & Casualty and/or appropriate business licensure.
• Extensive knowledge of insurance coverages/products.
• Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers and prospects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand customer needs and recommend solutions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and across organizational levels.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
