APMEX is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Associate IT Project Manager

to assist in planning, executing, and delivering IT projects across the organization. In this role, you will be supporting the IT project manager in coordinating tasks, managing timelines, tracking deliverables, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a foundational understanding of IT systems, software development, project methodologies, and is eager to grow within project management.

A Day in the Life of an Associate IT Project Manager at APMEX: Manage and deliver small to mid-sized IT projects independently, from initiation through closure. Assist in the coordination of larger IT projects under the guidance of senior project managers. Monitor project timelines, deliverables, and milestones, ensuring adherence to scope. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders. Maintain project documentation including meeting notes, status updates, risk logs, and change requests. Track and report project progress using Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Teams. Identify and communicate risks or delays to project managers. Help organize and facilitate project meetings and scrum ceremonies. Support testing, deployment coordination, and post-implementation reviews. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project processes and workflows. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field - or equivalent practical experience. Experience and Skills:

1+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, Project Coordinator, or similar role in a software development environment. Experience working in IT environments (infrastructure, software development, support, or security). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Able to multitask and manage competing priorities. Analytical mindset with attention to detail. Eagerness to learn and grow within a project management role. Technical Proficiencies:

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with Agile Project Management Tools (Jira, Confluence). Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrumban, Waterfall, etc.). Familiarity with SDLC, DevOps, or ITIL processes. Experience working with cross-functional or distributed teams. Preferred (but not required)

Project Management certification or coursework (e.g., CAPM, CompTIA Project+, or Agile-related certification). Familiarity with ITIL and DevOps concepts
