Job Summary

We are seeking a highly technical and experienced Information Technology Project Manager to lead complex IT initiatives that span infrastructure, software development, and systems integration. This role demands deep expertise in IT environments, including network architecture, cloud platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, application lifecycle management, and DevOps principles. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for driving the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic technology projects that support both internal operations and external client solutions. You will work closely with technical teams, engineers, developers, architects, and cybersecurity professionals, to ensure deliverables are aligned with technical specifications, organizational goals, and business outcomes. This position requires a proven ability to manage large-scale, technically demanding projects while maintaining rigorous oversight of timelines, budgets, and scope. You will serve as the key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex technical requirements into actionable plans and ensuring clear, consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and manage full project lifecycle activities for complex IT initiatives including infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, software development, application rollouts, and enterprise systems integration. Partners with technical teams (e.g., system architects, developers, network engineers, cybersecurity professionals) to define project scope, technical requirements, dependencies, and resource plans. Develop detailed project plans, technical roadmaps, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of IT solutions. Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution. Ensure rigorous tracking and reporting of project metrics including scope, cost, quality, timelines, and risks. Facilitate technical meetings, sprint planning sessions, and architecture discussions with an ability to translate between technical detail and business impact. Identify and remove technical roadblocks, ensuring minimal disruption to engineering workflows and operational objectives. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, change control processes, and audit trails in accordance with IT governance and compliance standards. Support the development and implementation of IT best practices, project methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid), and process improvements to increase delivery efficiency. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline required; Master's degree or MBA is a plus. 3+ years of experience managing complex IT projects across multiple domains such as infrastructure, software development, systems integration, or cloud services. Demonstrated experience working closely with technical teams including developers, system administrators, network engineers, and cybersecurity professionals Proven track record delivering IT projects on time, within scope and budget, using formal project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches). Experience managing enterprise IT initiatives with a focus on scalability, reliability, and compliance. Strong understanding of IT architecture, application lifecycle management, DevOps, networking, databases, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud). Hands-on experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or equivalent. PMP (Project Management Professional) - Preferred. Education Requirements

Strong technical foundation in IT systems, including networking, cloud architecture, cybersecurity, software development, infrastructure, and database technologies. Expert-level understanding of project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches, with the ability to tailor practices based on project needs. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex technical challenges and drive effective solutions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or equivalent. Skilled in risk management, scope control, and budgeting across enterprise-level IT initiatives. Working knowledge of IT compliance and governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001). Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement. Proficient in stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and change management practices.

Physical Requirements

This position works under usual office conditions. The associate is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
