**Shift:** Evening 10-hour shifts, Tuesday to Friday, 1 PM - 11:30 PM. No weekends and limited call requirements.
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to perform CT procedures and acquire high-quality digital images for diagnostic purposes. Under the general supervision of a Radiologist, you will execute various advanced imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to established guidelines. This role requires knowledge in operating CT scanners, understanding clinical protocols, and maintaining technical expertise in a clinical environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Operate CT scanners and related equipment to acquire images for diagnostic use. - Execute CT procedures based on clinical protocols and established guidelines, ensuring high-quality imaging. - Prepare and position patients correctly for scans, utilizing protective shielding and proper technical settings. - Perform specialized imaging procedures, including CTA imaging for critical conditions and interventional procedures. - Maintain a comprehensive understanding of pharmacological interventions, patient physiology, and radiation safety to ensure optimal image quality while minimizing exposure. - Stay updated with the latest advancements in CT technology and departmental protocols. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to enhance patient care and streamline processes. - Document procedures and ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.
**Education and Experience:**
- Graduate from an accredited Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required). - Relevant experience in a clinical imaging environment preferred.
**Skills:**
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently. - Proficient in diagnostic imaging techniques, radiation safety, and medical equipment management. - Effective preceptor skills for training new staff and students.
