Job title: Business Analyst - Generalist IV Location: Burbank, CA Contract Duration: 1-year Pay Range: $78/hr What We Do/Project The Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role in this effort, working across product PODs and business domains to help users define, adopt, and evolve the processes and data structures that underpin next-generation tools and analytics. Operating at the program level, this role partners with business users, product teams, data leads, and platform architects to translate business needs into lead structured analysis, ensure readiness for system transformation, and support successful delivery of outcomes across workstreams. This includes helping define data clean-up requirements, supporting business process redesign, and facilitating program-level insights to support roadmap execution. Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role Partner with Business Users and Product Teams to shape Client's Future State Engage with business stakeholders to understand current-state workflows, pain points, and unmet needs across financial forecasting, content planning, and monetization processes. Co-lead future-state design for processes aligned to product goals and platform capabilities, helping surface gaps, dependencies, and change impacts. Facilitate working sessions and structured interviews that move from "what users say is a requirement" to "what problems users need to solve", capturing business rules, exception handling, and operational constraints. Lead Cross-Workstream Business Analysis Perform program-level analysis that informs prioritization, sequencing, and cross-functional dependencies-working closely with product owners and program leadership. Support workstream and Product/Platform leads in breaking down large, ambiguous business needs into discrete, actionable stories and backlog items. Track open questions, process gaps, and business-side readiness items, coordinating resolution across stakeholder groups. Drive Data Quality and Clean-Up Alignment Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and product teams to identify and document data quality issues, duplication, mapping gaps, and legacy structures. Work with users and engineers to develop data clean-up requirements, acceptance criteria, and business validation checkpoints. Support semantic alignment efforts by helping users map business terms to canonical data definitions, taxonomy and highlight potential conflicts (e.g, conceptual mismatches, duplication risks, downstream reporting implications) Support Communication and Change Readiness Prepare clear documentation-process maps, decision logs, functional requirements, readiness trackers-that supports shared understanding across business and technical teams. Co-create materials and co-lead activities that support user onboarding and enablement activities by translating technical impacts into clear business-facing implications, preparing the business teams to absorb and adopt new ways of working. Monitor user readiness across domains and escalate blockers related to process ownership, data access, or capacity. Must Have Skills / Requirements Ability to understand user needs and translate into functional requirements. 4-5+ years of experience; Confluence for documenting requirements, Jira for creating tasks and tickets, and Miro for collaboration and whiteboarding. Clarity and clear communication skills with cross functional and globally dispersed teams. 4-5+ years of experience; If candidates have interacted/communicated with executives (presenting work, leading requirements sessions, etc.). Experience in business analysis, preferably supporting cross-functional technology and data transformation initiatives. 8+ years of experience What You'll Bring: business analysis experience, preferably supporting cross-functional technology and data transformation initiatives. Excellent communication and stakeholder facilitation skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and drive decision-making in matrixed environments. Proven ability to map current and future-state business processes, exceptional facilitation and documentation skill, able to create clarity without over-scripting "requirements". Experience working in agile environments, partnering with product owners, analysts, and delivery teams to define and refine features and user stories. Familiarity with data quality analysis, data clean-up planning, and metadata alignment in complex enterprise data ecosystems. Strong understanding of financial, operational, or content-related processes in a media or entertainment environment is a plus. Excellent communication and stakeholder facilitation skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and drive decision-making in matrixed environments. Attention to detail or Data QA experience. Technology Requirements: 1) Proficiency in process modeling tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Miro, Visio), data exploration tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau), and collaboration platforms (e.g., Confluence, JIRA).
