The Executive Chef is responsible for leading kitchen operations, ensuring consistent food quality, safety, and sanitation. This role oversees menu execution, staff training, inventory management, and compliance with health and company standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day culinary operations and ensure adherence to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards Plan and adjust menus based on guidelines and operational needs Train and supervise kitchen staff on food prep, safety, and sanitation procedures Manage inventory and control food and labor costs Maintain equipment, storage, and work areas to ensure a clean, safe kitchen Monitor food quality and ensure compliance with local health regulations Track production and waste logs; manage use of leftovers per policy Participate in team meetings and required training sessions Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years in culinary leadership Experience in high-volume cooking and catering Strong understanding of food cost controls and kitchen operations Proficient with Microsoft Office and email ServSafe certified (or willing to obtain) Associates at Bon Appetit are offered many fantastic benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, holiday time off, associate shopping program, health and wellness programs, discount marketplace, identity theft protection, pet insurance, commuter benefits, employee assistance program, flexible spending accounts, paid parental leave, and personal leave.
