Aircraft Mechanic
We are in search of a skilled Aircraft Mechanic to join our team, focusing on the comprehensive care of the F-35 aircraft, from launch and recovery to full-spectrum maintenance ("nose-to-tail"). The selected individual will perform all maintenance, inspections, and servicing requirements on all aircraft systems in accordance with applicable directives. Additional job requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Obtain special certifications (example: confined space, borescope, weapons loading, Alternate Mission Equipment maintenance and Inspections. etc.) as locally required. Perform Field-Level Modifications, and Time Compliance Technical Data (TCTD) maintenance actions. Provide On-The-Job Training (OJT) as required to newly hired Interim Contract Support (ICS) team members, Military maintainers and International country organic maintainers as required. Maintain and update aircraft records and status in strict compliance with applicable directives and within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) of the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) and keep the aircraft production staff updated with that aircraft status. Perform all other duties as directed by the production staff and leadership team, and must be able to work first, second, and third shift on short notice. Practice good housekeeping and follow safety procedures and ensure both programs are enforced. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The position will require working first (1st), second (2nd), or third (3rd) shift(s). Candidates should expect to depart on temporary duty assignments with short notice, dependent on customer or LM ICS needs to include stateside or overseas. This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. Position may also require extended work hours. Acquire and keep a flight line driver's competency card. Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist and enter confined spaces. Basic Qualifications: Two years' recent (within one year) aviation experience as 5 or 7-skill level USAF AFSC, CDI/CDQAR USN NEC, CDI/CDQAR USMC or US Army Aviation attack helicopter maintenance technician. Or General & Airframe or a General & Powerplant rating with any previous aviation maintenance experience. Or Full A&P license with no aviation maintenance experience. Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security program Desired Skills: F-35 or 5th Generation Fighter Experience. Experience with the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS). Ejection seat tear-down/build up experience. Joint Technical Data navigation (JTD) experience Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA)/Maintenance Vehicle Interface (MVI) experience Anomaly Fault Resolution System (AFRS) experience Fuel systems experience. Low Observable (LO) repair and maintenance experience. Fiber Optic repair and maintenance experience. Avionics troubleshooting and repair experience Experience performing in a role of task trainer. Aircraft Armament, explosives handling, and weapons loading experience.
