Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our Quality Team for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a DCT Health and Safety Program Director! This position is responsible for the development, direction, and management of an integrated health and safety management program designed to keep DCT resilient. This position specializes in Health and Safety and fulfills DCTs strategy for health and safety program management. Responsibilities include: Internal and external coordinated planning agency-wide health and safety program activities for DCTs Health and Safety duties. Integrated and equitable planning with internal divisions, federal, state, and local partners, as well as community partners. Managing DCT-wide training, drills and exercises of the health and safety program. Managing agency-wide health and safety functions and provide expertise to agency business units around DCTs Health and Safety program. Provide managerial expertise, guidance and leadership for health and safety program needs and survey readiness to ensure DCTs capacity to have a strong health and safety plan. Manage and oversee DCTs health and safety program best practices related to workplace needs, regulatory compliance and employee needs. Manage and oversee activities to monitor, audit, analyze, and report health and safety program performance against established standards and support the organization as it selects, utilizes, and implements various improvement techniques. Directly and indirectly supervise assigned FTEs. Demonstrated leadership experience. *Leadership experience can include: Experience as a supervisor, lead worker, team lead, project lead; Completion of a State of Minnesota leadership program (e.g. ELI, L4); A paid/unpaid position leading a program or chairing a committee (e.g. ERG) - experience must include: 1+ year of experience identifying issues, goals and strategic actions 100+ hours per year time commitment AND Four (4) years of program management and/or lead worker experience in risk management, quality, or compliance in a healthcare environment which demonstrates the following: Ensuring compliance with accrediting and licensing agencies such as Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Department of Health, and Department of Human Services. Application of quality assurance and program improvement strategies at various organization levels including division level, program level, and site specific to support quality healthcare delivery. Experience leading teams, projects, or processes. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with project teams, staff, and internal departments. Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree or higher in a health and safety related field. Strong background in health and safety in a healthcare setting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
