Job Description Salary: Duties and Role of a Customer Service Inside Sales

Customer Service and Inside Sales Representative handles quotes, following up on leads, managing bookings, addressing customer complaints, and providing general information to clients. Demonstrate excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of the ocean transportation industry, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Customer Service:

Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and online chat promptly and professionally.

Provide accurate information regarding shipping schedules, container availability, and pricing.

Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Provide general information to customers who email or call, answering their questions and guiding them through our services. Inside Sales:

Generate and provide quotes to potential clients, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.

Follow up on sales leads and opportunities to convert them into successful transactions.

Assist customers with bookings, ensuring all necessary documentation and information is gathered and processed.

Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to foster long-term business partnerships. Account Management:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, quotes, and sales activities in the CRM system.

Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments and renewals.

Provide regular updates to customers regarding their shipments and address any issues that arise. Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with the sales, operations, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.

Communicate effectively with internal teams to coordinate customer requirements and resolve any issues.

Participate in regular team meetings to discuss customer feedback and sales strategies. Market Research and Reporting:

Conduct market research to identify potential sales opportunities and trends in the ocean transportation industry.

Generate reports on customer service metrics, sales performance, and market trends to support decision-making. Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience in customer service and/or inside sales, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry. Strong understanding of containerized ocean transportation services. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult situations. Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
