Job Description Salary: This position will beOutside Sales Representative to expand our presence in the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, and northern U.S. markets
The Sales Representative will be responsible for generating new business, managing client relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach, and the understanding of the ocean transportation industry.
1. Client Relationship Management
Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients: Regular communication, understanding their needs, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction. Prospecting and acquiring new clients: Identifying potential clients, reaching out to them, and converting leads into customers.
2. Sales Strategy and Execution
Developing sales strategies: Creating and implementing effective sales strategies to meet the company's revenue goals. Market analysis: Researching and analyzing market trends, competitors, and customer preferences to identify opportunities and threats. Tariff Analytics: Understand and offer rates for respective commodities viable to the services the company offers.
3. Negotiation and Contracts
Negotiating contracts: Discussing terms and conditions with clients to secure profitable deals while ensuring customer satisfaction. Contract management: Ensuring all contracts are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with company policies.
4. Promotion and Marketing
Promoting services: Highlighting the benefits of the companys marine transportation services through presentations, meetings, and marketing materials. Participation in industry events: Representing the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote services and network with potential clients.
5. Operational Coordination
Liaising with operations: Coordinating with the operations team to ensure client requirements are met and service delivery is seamless. Problem-solving: Addressing any issues or disruptions in service to maintain client satisfaction and service quality.
6. Reporting and Analysis
Sales reporting: Preparing regular reports on sales activities, revenue, and forecasts for senior management. Performance analysis: Analyzing sales performance data to identify areas for improvement and to track progress against targets.
7. Customer Support
Providing customer support: Assisting clients with queries, issues, or complaints, ensuring a high level of customer service. Creating bookings, quotes, service contracts. Follow-up: Ensuring continuous follow-up with clients post-sales to foster long-term relationships and repeat business.
