Radiology / Cardiology - Nuclear Medicine Tech

A nuclear medical technologist works closely with patients scheduled for imaging procedures. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing the correct radiopharmaceutical dosage and administering it to the patient. Utilizing advanced imaging equipment, you'll scan the specific areas of the body as requested by the patient's healthcare provider. Upon the patient's arrival for their appointment, you will explain the procedure and address any questions or concerns they may have. It is important to maintain a calming and reassuring demeanor, especially for patients who may be fearful, nervous, or in pain. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the imaging equipment and ensuring its safe operation.
