Job Summary The Clinical Education Coordinator provides educational leadership to Clinical Nursing staff to enhance specialized patient care within established clinical protocols. Provides orientation of new personnel, on the job training and hands on teaching within the clinical setting, in-service education and continuing education. Assists in the development, implementation and assessment of effectiveness of policies, procedures and standards. Keeps accurate records of orientation activities and the performance of each orientee. Provides ongoing support and education to new clinical staff. Tracks CMC education hours and assures compliance with CMC policy. Keeps Clinical Nurse Education Manager informed of activities, needs, and problems.

Qualifications

Current California Registered Nurse - RN - license.

Two years clinical experience in a Behavioral Health care setting required.

Additional two years clinical experience in an Acute Care setting recommended.

Knowledge of teaching techniques, adult education, and evaluation methods.

Current BLS.

PALS and ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire date.

Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act, patient’s rights, Accrediting Body standards and Title 22 regulations.

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CHLB/CMC, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CHLB/CMC in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44.74 - $55.93 per hour
