We are expanding and are looking for an experienced
Operations Research Lead
(8 + years) who combines deep mathematical-optimisation skills with hands-on implementation experience and a strong consulting track record in the life-sciences sector (pharma, biotech, chemicals or med-tech). Your Impact Lead the development of optimisation-driven product features by designing, implementing and evolving scalable decision engines powering capabilities like network design, production planning, and inventory management for life-science supply chains. Translate strategic customer needs into robust product functionality by formulating quantitative approaches and guiding cross-functional teams (product, engineering, science) from idea to implementation in our cloud-native platform. Shape the product roadmap through algorithmic innovation, contributing not only models but end-to-end solutions that meet performance, usability and integration standards required for enterprise deployment. Mentor and guide decision scientists and engineers, setting technical direction and fostering a product-oriented mindset within the OR community at ParkourSC. Collaborate closely with strategic customers, especially in the life-science industry, to validate use cases, quantify value and integrate feedback directly into product development cycles. Stay at the forefront of the discipline by scouting emerging OR techniques (stochastic / robust optimisation, decomposition, MIP heuristics, reinforcement learning) and assessing their fit for real-world deployment. Your Profile 8+ years of experience applying mathematical optimisation and simulation to real-world problems, with a focus on supply-chain domains such as network design, production planning, inventory and logistics. Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Proven track record in consulting or applied research for life-science clients (e.g. pharma, biotech, chemicals), delivering measurable business value. Deep expertise in optimisation tools (e.g. Gurobi, CPLEX, Xpress) and modelling frameworks (e.g. Pyomo, AMPL, JuMP, CVXPY); strong Python skills and familiarity with compiled languages and data workflows. Ability to interpret complex quantitative results and communicate clear, actionable insights in fluent spoken and written English. Ability to translate advanced OR methods into scalable, cloud-native product features in collaboration with product managers and engineers. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; fluent in English, additional language is a plus.
