IT System Administrator

The Systems Administrators role will support end-users, endpoints, and systems, onboard new employees, implement new software and hardware, provide training and advice, and serve as a strong IT support resource. The duties include server and network management, systems maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting devices and applications. The Systems Administrator responsibilities also include project-level research and support. Primary Responsibilities: Administer end-user workstations and support end-user activities on a primarily Microsoft Windows-based local area network (LAN). Investigate end user problems, perform diagnostics, and identify their source; determine possible solutions; test and implement solutions. Install, configure, and maintain company computers, Windows networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices, and systems; add or upgrade and configure disk drives, printers, and related equipment. Perform and/or oversee software and application installation and upgrades. Adhere to network security, managing host security, file permissions, and file system integrity. Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored, or accessed by the end-users on the network.

Qualifications:

Excellent customer service skills. Ability to install, configure, and maintain personal computers, networks, and related hardware and software. Knowledge of Windows 10, Microsoft Office Products, Adobe Acrobat, Remote Desktop Services, Endpoint security, TCP/IP, NFS, VMWare, Wifi Security, Samsung and Apple Mobile Devices, and Active Directory. Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operational problems. Working knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and networking software. Ability to learn new technologies and support cloud-hosted systems. Organizing resources, establishing priorities, and executing on service desk tickets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
