This posting is for a direct hire position of Phoenix Power Group and is solely for the purpose of Phoenix Power Group. Phoenix Power Group (PPG) is a leading Construction Services Company providing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Services specializing in the installation of utility and industrial process infrastructure including substations, power , industrial process facilities, and renewable fuel projects in North America. The Contracts Manager will play a critical role in supporting both the project operations and legal departments during the proposal and execution phases of assigned projects. This role will ensure effective contract management, mitigate contractual risks, support compliance, and contribute to the resolution of disputes involving clients, subcontractors, and vendors. The Contracts Manager will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain contractual alignment and support successful project delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the field and project management to ensure successful delivery of the project

Support project teams during proposal and execution stages by providing guidance on contractual requirements and impacts to project operations

Collaborate with project teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with contracts and operational execution

Assist the legal team with contract review and development, incorporating relevant project-specific information into prime contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements

Communicate and present contract updates, changes, and requirements to relevant internal stakeholders

Schedule and coordinate contract-related meetings, assign action items, and track deadlines to ensure timely completion

Maintain a comprehensive contract database tracking key terms, deadlines, obligations, and other relevant details

Monitor project schedules and progress for early identification of issues impacting contract compliance or disputes

Collaborate with legal and operational leads to drive resolution of contractual disputes, facilitate ongoing reviews

Ensure execution of appropriate NDAs prior to disclosing confidential project information to third parties

Work with procurement teams to confirm proper use of master agreements and standard forms for subcontractor and vendor engagements

Negotiate terms and conditions with subcontractors and vendors, under the guidance of general counsel

Educate and support project management teams on notice, reporting, and change order provisions in customer contracts

Coordinate with project teams during proposal submissions and negotiations with customers

Ensure RFP responses, vendor proposals, and contracts are complete, vetted, and aligned with company interests

Ensure compliance with contractual security, payment, and administrative obligations post-execution

Participate in project meetings to monitor potential contractual issues or change order events

Report to general counsel on active or emerging issues related to contract obligations or third-party compliance

Setup, organize, update, and maintain electronic and printed project documents using various systems, including Procore, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and SharePoint

Update field management on all project progress, forecast and field personnel changes

Help develop, submit, track, and maintain all project submittals and request for information

Download, issue, and schedule work packages as directed

Audit project documents for accuracy and program efficiency

Assist in the inspection process to ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications

Prepare and maintain accurate daily logs, site reports, and documentation related to materials, inspections, and labor hours

Support procurement by verifying material needs and confirming deliveries

Perform special projects and complete any other duties as assigned or requested

Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field

5+ years of experience in construction project management with a strong focus on EPC, Design-Build, CMAR, and MSA projects, ideally in the power delivery industry

Self-starter with a high degree of initiative

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Effective communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational and time management abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders professionally

Working knowledge of contract lifecycle and the integrated EPC process

Familiarity with construction means and methods

Understanding of contract compliance and legal documentation in the context of large-scale infrastructure projects

This is a full-time annual salary position offering $120,000 - $160,000.
