Job Title: Registrar & Student Affairs Department: Education Reports to: Director of Education FLSA Status: hourly (7:30 am to 4:30 pm) Location: 2101 John C Watts Dr. Travel: No travel outside local area required
Summary:
Student Registrar - Process and maintain all student enrollment, payments, ID cards and certification data. Student Affairs - Primary phone operator and student’s experience at the facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities – Student Affairs Primary phone operator and communicator to prospective and current students & customers (switchboard operator) Primary digital response to all email or web driven questions & concerns Front desk “face” of the education facility for student questions and issues Essential Duties & Responsibilities – Registrar Process all student enrollment applications
Received via email, phone or fax Add Student Information to Geo Talent (Educational Software)
Assigning training courses
Process background checks for any commercial “new” student Send confirmation emails to students
First Day of Class Registration Process
Greet students and confirm registration Process photo for ID badges that are processed and distributed to students before they leave Handle all “walk-in” students
Enroll if possible Request materials (manuals, kits, etc)
Post Class Processes
Add test scores to student records in GeoTalent Create and print certificates for each student in class (some course require multiple certifications) Send student list to dormakaba and S&G for their certifications
GSA Re-Certification Online Processes
Confirm student’s eligibility Add course to students record in GeoTalent Send online link to take the quiz Post exam
Add scores to GeoTalent Process new ID photo and send to customer
Other duties as assigned Skills/Trainings/Certifications/Degrees Solid knowledge of computer software (Microsoft), telephones and other office equipment Ability to learn company computer systems (GeoTalent & D-1) Ability to multi-task and remain accurate Competencies Dependable Punctual Great attendance record Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professional phone etiquette Education and /or Experience High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 yrs. of clerical or administrative experience
