Are you mechanically inclined with a knack for hands-on work? Do you enjoy a flexible schedule and working independently, but also have the support of a team? The Equipment Service Technician is a remote-based Customer facing role, primarily working inside hospitals. You will troubleshoot and repair medical equipment used in surgical procedures, and support installation of complex mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic units. This includes our main OEM equipment portfolio: Washers and Sterilizers.
Ideal candidates have experience in HVAC repair, Mechanics, Maintenance, Refrigeration, Boilers, Chillers, Equipment Repair, Diesel and Automotive Repair, Aviation Repair, Plumbing, Electrical, or similar fields.
Responsibilities include:
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of STERIS and competitor equipment.
Manage time effectively to complete service calls, installations, and upgrades.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure compliance.
Provide customers with information, pricing, and repair options; identify sales opportunities.
Support various locations within the territory based on customer needs.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience; technical certifications or military experience considered.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet background and physical requirements.
Excellent communication skills and basic computer proficiency.
Flexible schedule with potential overnight and after-hours work.
Ability to meet hospital credentialing requirements.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay range: $60,137.50 - $77,825.00, plus bonus eligibility. Benefits include a company vehicle, health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
