A well-established law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Litigation practice in the San Diego office. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation attorney with at least five years of experience in complex commercial matters. The role offers a challenging and collaborative environment where attorneys work on high-stakes litigation, including class action defense, trade secret disputes, unfair competition, and business torts. Duties

Conduct legal research and draft complex memoranda and briefs Draft and argue motions in state and federal court, as well as in arbitration Manage written discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and subpoenas Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts Represent clients in hearings, arbitrations, and settlement conferences Work on complex litigation matters including class action defense, business torts, contract disputes, trade secret litigation, and unfair competition claims Collaborate with litigation partners and clients to develop strategy and ensure consistent communication Assist with case management and trial preparation Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of commercial litigation experience Substantive experience with class actions, trade secrets, and complex contractual and business disputes Excellent oral advocacy and legal writing skills Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience managing discovery and depositions independently Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and excellence Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school Strong academic credentials required Certifications

Active license to practice law in California (required) Skills
