Responsibilities
Complete Building Services (CBS) is seeking a full-time Stationary Engineer (SE) for a large government facility in Washington, DC. The SE operates and maintains the facility, performs tours of areas and equipment, conducts PM service calls, diagnostics, and performs incidental, minor, and major repairs. The SE must possess a Class 3 Steam Engineer license (DC).
The hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. Salary is $49.96 per hour.
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment
Log equipment as assigned
Maintain plant and equipment in sound operating condition
Provide guidance and support to subcontractors performing repairs
Coordinate with building managers and client representatives to ensure satisfaction
Document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders
Operate and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC and related equipment
Perform refrigerant recovery and recycling
Operate Building Energy Management System (EMS) and building controls
Install and remove systems, hardware, and equipment as needed
Perform other duties as assigned and be available on-site during scheduled hours and emergencies
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Must pass a government background check
Valid stationary engineer's license (Class 3 Steam Engineer - DC)
Completion of a 4-year HVAC apprenticeship or equivalent training program
At least 7 years of relevant experience
Universal CFC/EPA certification (proof required)
Minimum 4 years of HVAC system experience
Valid driver's license
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
Capable of ascending ladders up to 30 feet high
