Complete Building Services, (CBS) is currently seeking a full-time Stationary Engineer (SE) for a large government facility in Washington, DC. The full-time SE operates and maintains the facility and performs tours of areas and/or equipment. Additionally, the SE performs PM service calls, diagnostic services, and incidental, minor, and major repairs. The SE shall possess a Class 3 Steam Engineer (DC). The hours are M-F 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. Salary $49.96 per hour. Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair of the HVAC systems and associated equipment Log equipment as assigned Maintain plant and equipment in sound operating condition Provide direction and support to sub-contractors designated to perform repair of plant, equipment and/or hardware Interface with building managers and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders Operate and perform Preventive Maintenance on HVAC and associated equipment Perform Refrigerant recovery and recycling Operate Building Energy management System (EMS) and Building Controls Place and/or remove systems, hardware and equipment as required Perform other related duties as assigned. Must be on-site during the assigned hours and available to respond to on-site emergencies Qualifications
High School degree or equivalent Must pass government background check Must possess a valid stationary engineer's license equivalent to Class 3 Steam Engineer (DC) Completion of 4-year HVAC Apprentice or equivalent training Program Minimum seven (7) years of experience Universal CFC/EPA Certification (written proof required) Minimum of four (4) years of related experience with HVAC systems Valid driver's license Able to lift up to sixty (60) pounds Capable ofascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feet EOE, including disability/veterans
