Summary : Dime Community Bank (Dime) is currently hiring for a Portfolio Manager Associate at its Headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. The Portfolio Manager Associate is responsible for maintaining and monitoring their assigned commercial loan portfolio and working closely with the branch network to qualify and originate new business opportunities.
Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $75,000 to $95,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.
All applicants must attach a recent resume. This is not a remote role. This is a hybrid role (4 days in office/1 day remote).
Responsibilities :
Manage all aspects of the borrower relationship in assigned loan portfolio (including but not limited to):
Communicate with and visit customers periodically.
Assist with gathering all information needed to submit a full underwriting request for new clients and for annual reviews of existing loans in portfolio.
Negotiate terms, structure and pricing of loan products based on risk evaluation as well as compliance with Dime’s credit policy.
Proactively complete loan renewals based on current financial information.
Actively participate in the post-approval pre-loan closing process interacting with Loan Administration and customer to ensure timely loan closing and compliance with terms and conditions of approval.
Process periodic loan advances.
Monitor compliance with loan covenants.
Ensure timely payment collection and monitor delinquencies.
Support the Bank’s strong relationship banking culture through ongoing customer contact, high quality customer service and product knowledge.
Monitor credit quality within existing portfolio and take action as appropriate.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Business Banking.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Credit training or experience in credit analysis.
Minimum 3 years’ commercial lending experience.
Able to work independently and leverage professional relationships within and outside the bank.
Excellent interpersonal skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn other bank specific software.
