Job Summary: ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, dedicated to solving complex challenges through expertise and technology. The Software Systems Architect will lead the development of standalone sub-systems, manage CI/CD tools, and ensure system scalability and resilience while collaborating with project leadership and analysts. Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of standalone sub-systems from concept to deployment. Collaborate with analysts and project leadership to clarify requirements and finalize design direction. Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools to ensure smooth development workflows. Monitor system metrics and resolve issues related to scalability, performance, and resilience. Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to clients and stakeholders. Mentor junior developers and manage dependencies across teams. Conduct estimations, sequence development tasks, and present technical details to leadership. Qualifications: Required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 811 years of experience in software development and architecture. US Citizenship required due to federal contract requirements Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply Preferred: Proven experience leading development teams and managing sub-system architecture. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#). Experience working in Agile environments. Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Prior experience in government or enterprise-level projects. Certifications in cloud architecture or DevOps (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
