Job Summary: SAIC is a leading provider of systems development and deployment for the Intelligence Community, seeking a Data Management expert to lead their National Intelligence Program. The role involves overseeing the data lifecycle, managing data services and infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with data management standards. Responsibilities: • Develop and enforce policies for effective data management, forming an excellent control environment for data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle processes. • Design and implement data strategies that support organizational goals, including the transition to cloud-based systems where appropriate. • Oversee the management of all databases and data storage systems, both on-premises and in the cloud, ensuring optimal performance and scalability. • Lead the data services team to guarantee that data is easily accessible yet secure from unauthorized access or breaches. • Monitor data management costs and develop budgetary plans, aligning them with the efficient use of data across the organization. • Drive the adoption of the latest innovations in data processing and data analytics technologies. • Create a disaster recovery and business continuity plan for critical data and oversee regular backup processes. • Manage a team of data professionals, including database administrators, data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists. • Coordinate with IT teams, service providers, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure data consistency and accessibility. Qualifications: Required: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information management, or a related field. • 9+ years of relevant experience in a data management role with demonstrated leadership skills. • Extensive experience with database management, data governance, and data warehousing. • Proficient in managing client/server environments, virtual systems, and AWS cloud infrastructure. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across various departments. • Strong analytical skills to understand data system requirements and forecast future data needs. • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. • Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more experience; Masters and sixteen (16) years or more experience; PhD or JD and fifteen years or more experience. Preferred: • Certification in data management (e.g., CDMP) is a plus.
