Job Summary: Johns Hopkins Medicine is a world-renowned leader in patient care, serving the greater Baltimore community and patients from all across the globe. The Clinical Engineering Services Manager is responsible for the supervision of inspection, maintenance testing, and repair work on medical devices, managing Biomedical Engineering Technicians to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations. The role involves budget management, staffing plans, and ensuring safety and efficiency in daily operations. Responsibilities: • Responsible for overall supervision of inspection, maintenance testing and repair work on medical devices. • Manages Biomedical Engineering Technicians to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations defined by CMS, The Joint Commission, FDA, the City and other regulating bodies. • Ensures that work and efforts of the division are effectively communicated to team members, peers, clinical representatives and the leadership of the Department and Institution. • Works with all appropriate parties across the Institution to implement innovative safety practices consistently. • Prepares staffing and budgetary plans and manages resources to achieve goals. • Actively participates in the annual capital budgeting process as well as scope development and technical review of both capital and operating initiatives. • Manages diagnosis and recovery efforts as needed in the event of major and minor scheduled and unscheduled outages, weather disasters and interruptions to building and system operations. • Performs general managerial duties such as supervising staff, planning, scheduling, budgeting, data analysis, reporting and performing presentations. • Assures safety, efficiency, work quality and cost effectiveness in daily operations. Qualifications: Required: • Requires Associate degree in Biomedical Technology or Electronics or equivalent credits in pursuit of a BS or experience equivalent • Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of work experience, or AA degree with 11 years of work experience Company: Johns Hopkins Medicine specializes in medical education, research, and clinical care.
