We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Director of Engineering to lead Project Engineering and Production Engineering functions while supporting the organization's broader technical priorities. This role is vital in driving capital projects, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and enabling faster, higher-quality technical transfers of pharmaceutical products. The Director will focus on developing people, fostering innovation, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Job duties: Leadership of Engineering Teams:

Oversee and manage two engineering functions: Project Engineering (Capital Projects): Lead capital projects for formulation processes and high-speed liquid/tablet filling systems. Production Engineering (Lean Six Sigma & Continuous Improvement): Support production operations and drive process improvements for safety, efficiency, and cost savings. Partner with Technical Services (Pharma Formulation Development): Manage capital expenditure projects for new or scaling formulation processes, collaborating to expedite technical transfers from R&D and external sources.

Strategic Focus Areas:

Support Technical Transfers to achieve >10% annual revenue growth by ensuring efficient scaling and high-quality product introductions. Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives to drive cost-of-sales savings exceeding 5% annually through Lean Six Sigma. Oversee capital projects focused on safety, aiming to reduce ergonomic risks and achieve a recordable injury rate below 1.0.

Team Development & Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and develop engineering leaders. Cultivate a high-performing team, fostering innovation and collaboration. Support professional growth and create an environment of trust, transparency, empowerment, and accountability.

Technology & Innovation:

Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve production capabilities and process reliability. Promote innovation in formulation, packaging, and engineering practices to stay competitive.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:

Partner with stakeholders to ensure regulatory and quality compliance in technical transfers. Align capital projects with formulation development goals.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure engineering activities comply with pharmaceutical regulations, including cGMP and FDA standards. Prioritize safety and employee well-being through systemic practices.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering 7+ years in high-speed packaging 5+ years in engineering management with successful leadership of multidisciplinary teams Lean Six Sigma Certification (preferred) Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations (cGMP) Strong project management and capital planning skills Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to influence and inspire teams Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence Experience mentoring and coaching team members Passion for continuous improvement Preferred qualifications: MBA degree Core Competencies: Service delivery Active collaboration Demonstrate agility Think differently Excellent execution About us: Padagis focuses on healthcare products that improve lives.
