Position Summary The Lead Analyst - Clinical Systems Applications is the technical expert on Epic clinical applications (electronic health record) and associated third-party applications, as well as the subject matter expert on clinical system workflows facilitating quality of care and patient safety. The Lead Analyst - Clinical Systems Applications is an active participant in the organizational clinical workgroups/committees and ensures changes to the system go through the appropriate approval processes. The Lead Clinical Systems Application Analyst works closely with clinical and medical services operational teams and members of the IS Department, serving as a technical expert in supported applications on integrated projects. The Lead Analyst Clinical Systems Applications is a strong communicator, with experience guiding other analysts towards Epic best practices in their own projects. Core Job Responsibilities Implement and maintain the Epic clinical applications (EpicCare Ambulatory, HIM, MyChart, EpicCare Link, Haiku, Canto, Healthy Planet, Compass Rose, Care Everywhere, Security, Willow Inventory, Research) and associated third-party applications, interfaces, and databases. Provide end user support and troubleshooting expertise and provide input on system design and capabilities. Facilitate cross-training and coach less experienced team members in Epic build and other applicable skills. Provide expert technical support to team members through build sessions, answering technical assistance questions, and working to remove obstacles to support effective system design, build, and maintenance. Maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Manage Clinical Applications projects, ensuring standard ACCESS Epic implementation and maintenance support methodologies are supported across the team. Assist teammates in scoping and completion of tasks and projects as assigned by the Manager of Clinical Applications. Track progress of tasks assigned to less experienced analysts to help with timely project completion. Represent the Clinical Applications team in the organizations clinical workgroups/committees (Pharmacy and Therapeutics, Patient Experience, etc.). Utilize expertise in the Epic system to guide workgroups and inform the team response to requests from these groups. Review integrated and complex build completed by Clinical Applications team members using Quality Assurance processes. Seek new ways to automate and streamline the use of applications. Manage configuration of assigned clinical applications from an enterprise perspective; coordinate and maintain these applications based on how they relate to each other and outside entities. Maintain appropriate Epic certifications. Other duties as assigned. Requirements/Preferences Minimum seven (7) years of direct work experience in health related, computer science, information systems, business administration, OR a bachelors degree in information systems, business, education, or healthcare-related field plus a minimum of three (3) years of direct work experience required. A minimum of 3 years certification in EpicCare Ambulatory required. A minimum of 3 years direct experience as a clinical information system analyst or aligned application analyst required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in managing system projects required; Epic project management experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of Epic tools and Epics implementation and support methodologies. Ability to coach and mentor system/software analysts. ACCESS is a Network of Federally Qualified Health Centers treating patients on the frontlines of community-based health care. Depending on positionapplied/being recruited for, candidates may be required to be vaccinated against communicable diseases and provide supporting documentation proving that they are properly vaccinated,or apply forreligious and/or medicalvaccination exemption as a part of theapplicationprocess. The pay ranges provided represent the minimum to mid-range for positions.
