Description The Applications Analyst supports the operational and strategic goals of the Revenue Cycle and Clinical departments, by providing end-user support of critical applications, including but not limited to athenaIDX (aIDX), TouchWorks (TW) and Epic. The incumbent in this position will collaborate with system users, trainers and technical staff to analyze needs, implement solutions, maintain system integrity and contribute to our transition to Epic.

Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience with SIU-HC IS supported applications, including but not limited to aIDX, TW and Epic. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on application functionality and workflow, particularly for registration, scheduling, check-in, and clinical/business system integrations. Assist with the Epic implementation, including conversion planning, validation, and post-go-live support. Must understand the integration of applications and their impact on business processes and operations. Collaborate with end-users and training staff to analyze and resolve application issues and optimize workflows. Participate in the planning and implementation of new application features or modules. Monitor system performance and ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies. Perform end-to-end integration testing as necessary. Provide on-site guidance and assistance to end users as necessary. Provide feedback on training material. Document system processes, configurations, workflows, and technical requirements. Maintain effective communication with end users to understand problems and adequately troubleshoot issues. Perform job functions adhering to service principles with a customer service focus on innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, patients' families, co-workers and others. Serve as a champion for all SIU HealthCare IS teams and initiatives. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times while acting as a representative of SIU-HC. Participate in system configuration, updates, testing, and validation efforts across supported platforms. Function as online training system administrator. Facilitate regular End User Group meetings. Support and work closely with IT Help Desk.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Any one or any combination totaling one (1) year (12 months) from the following categories:

College coursework which includes Information Technology (IT), IT Management, Programming, IT systems, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:

30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months) Associate's Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months) 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months) Bachelor's Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)

Work experience in IT-related functions such as hardware/software support, programming, network design, network engineering, IT systems integration, or closely related field.

1 year experience supporting healthcare IT applications, preferably in a provider or academic medical center environment.
