Flex Operator

The Flex Operator will play a crucial role in the setup and removal of die/tooling for production runs. This position involves removing all necessary wires and hoses to efficiently extract tooling and molds from the press, followed by connecting the appropriate wires and hoses to prepare the equipment for the Process Technician. Additionally, the Flex Operator is responsible for maintaining cleanliness by removing plastic from the floor, machines, and hoses. Responsibilities

Assist in the removal and setup of die/tooling for production runs. Detach and reattach wires and hoses to facilitate tooling and mold extraction. Ensure the tooling is properly set up for the Process Technician. Maintain cleanliness by clearing plastic off the floor, machines, and hoses. Essential Skills

Mechanical aptitude and machine operation skills. Experience in plastic injection and press operations. Ability to perform mechanical repairs and handle plastic injection molding. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in plastics, mold setting, or general machine setup is advantageous but not required. A positive attitude and ambition to progress to a Setup Technician or Maintenance position are highly valued. Why Work Here?

The work environment is hot and loud, with a noticeable hot plastic smell. It is non-climate controlled, so appropriate attire is required. Acceptable tops include t-shirts, hoodies without strings, sweatshirts, and sleeveless tops that do not expose the stomach, shoulders, or cleavage. Jeans, shorts, cargo pockets, basketball shorts, and sweatpants are allowed, but leggings, jeggings, or spandex are not. Shorts should reach near the knee, and pants should fit properly at the hip. Closed-toe rubber-soled shoes are mandatory. Jewelry should not dangle, necklaces must be worn inside shirts, and jewelry should not extend past shoulder level. Tattoos and hair color are acceptable as long as they are not offensive, and any offensive items will be addressed immediately. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, Kentucky. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
