We are looking for an Account Executive, with earned and influencer experience to join our New York office (hybrid), across beauty and CPG brands. Account Executive serves as a one of the day-to-day client contacts. He/she manages the flow of work and information to the account team, and possesses an in-depth understanding of the client's business, industry, and PR issues. The Account Executive will perform fundamental PR tasks such as media outreach and press material development. He/she must also have strong research, writing and editing skills. The focus of an Account Executive is on developing the proficiency and the necessary skill set to become a successful PR practitioner. Primary Responsibilities

Client

Work with client on tactical programs Follow through on approved media strategies and effectively communicate progress, updates and challenges to senior team members and/or clients Participate in client meetings and presentations Provide basic client counsel Oversee maintenance of client product/inventory closet Media

Monitor media outlets for coverage of client news and competitor developments Help to track and maintain media placements Draft media relations materials including press releases, fact sheets, bios, FAQs, etc. Generate story ideas and topic angles Understand industry issues that directly and indirectly affect the client Understand clients' media objectives/priorities; identify and pitch appropriate outlets Counsel clients and provide feedback Demonstrate knowledge of media pitching and proactively ideate new and compelling story angles Manage the logistics of events (e.g., satellite media tours, desk side briefings, editor events, etc.) Manage external vendors Has base knowledge of social media trends, brand activity and relationship to PR Influencer

Support partnerships with talent/talent agents from negotiation/contract phase through campaign completion, including liaising with talent and client(s) on content approvals Work with legal to create and execute influencer contracts Foster relationships with digital influencers for paid partnerships and earned social coverage Create and manage influencer database Execute influencer mailers Writing

Develop proposals, releases, customer profiles, and other press materials Proof and edit client related documents as needed Compose basic media plans and contribute to the plan development process Draft program recaps and reports Team Participation

Serve as a role model and mentor to junior team members Participate in agency development and assist with new business Balance workload between projects and account staff to ensure that all work is accurate and completed within established deadlines Communicate frequently and appropriately with manager Delegate work to interns, account coordinators and junior account executives as needed Informally provides feedback to performance reviews of subordinates as needed Talk intelligently about agency at internal and external meetings and industry functions Attend agency staff meetings and group meetings Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree Professional Experience

2 - 4 years related professional experience Success Factors

Consistently meets deadlines Attentive to detail and quality Solves problems Demonstrates an eagerness to learn and be involved in account/agency opportunities Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet, social platforms, Muck Rack, Cision etc. Salary: $50,000-$65,000 DeVries has included the base salary or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; market considerations; budgetary considerations; as well as a candidate's background, relevant experience, and qualifications.
