Project Team Student Technology Assistant
The Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services (LAITS) Project Team is seeking highly skilled and motivated students to assist in the development and deployment of online courses and other distance education projects for the College of Liberal Arts and the broader UT Austin community. This position provides students with the opportunity to train and gain experience in project management, the production of live and on-demand lectures, and online course development. Work-Study Job Information: Supervisor: Andrea Pittard Physical address and building location of where the work will be performed: 154 W 21st Street, Mezes Hall 2.302 Austin, TX 78664 Responsibilities: Contributing to the editing processes for course media. Create accurate caption and text files for live and pre-recorded courses. Monitor technical support requests and provide support if needed. Work with full-time project management staff to assist in the production of projects such as live-class-broadcasts, learning tool development, and administrative tasks. Maintaining clear, professional, and timely correspondence with faculty, TAs, and other clients, as well as with other LAITS staff members. Required Qualifications
Be a current undergraduate student at UT enrolled in/completed 6 hours of coursework in the fall 2025 semester. Availability to work at least 8 hours per week. Have a great ability to work independently and problem-solve. Be receptive to training and instruction. Be punctual, reliable, and have excellent time management. Live in the Austin area (during academic sessions). Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years' experience with video production, course development, or learning-management software. At least 1 semester's experience either taking or deploying a fully online course. Salary Range
$15.00 Per Hour Working Conditions
