Course Grader - Geoscience (Open to Work Study and Non-Work Study)
Position is open to all applicants. Weekly scheduled hours are 15. FLSA status is non-exempt. The position is expected to continue until May 15, 2026. The location is UT Main Campus. General Notes

The Geoscience Course Support employee supports the OnRamps Geoscience Earth, Wind, and Fire course (GEO 302E). The Course Support employee works in close collaboration with the Geoscience Course Manager and the Geoscience grader mentor to assist with timely grading and feedback of student assessments, clerical work directly related to the OnRamps Geoscience course, and support with course assets for the OnRamps course. The Course Support employee also provides just-in-time assistance with seasonal and urgent projects. Responsibilities
Maintains accuracy and consistency while grading course assignments and assessments in Canvas Learning Management System. Provides feedback on course assignments and assessments in Canvas Learning Management System. Revises and finalizes modules, activities, assessments, and other course resources in Canvas Learning Management System. Participates in course prototyping, user testing, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications
Current undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Geoscience Intermediate computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint Experience with Canvas LMS Recommendation from at least one professional or academic reference Punctual, reliable, responsible Self-motivated Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications
Interest in and knowledge of local, state, and national dual-enrollment and college-readiness initiatives. Expert computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with Learning Catalytics, MS Outlook, and/or Smartsheet. Recommendation from more than one professional or academic reference. Salary
$12.00 - $14.50 hourly Working Conditions
