Manager, Business Analysis

The Manager, Business Analysis is responsible for overseeing the analysis, optimization, and improvement of business analysis function to achieve efficiencies and contribute to the overall success of the organization's initiatives. As part of the Product and Analytics team, this role establishes Objectives and Key Results for a Business Analysis team collaboratively, with input from stakeholder/s to ensure alignment with broader organizational goals. This role must be able to work effectively with executive-level customers and peer groups, requiring expert skill sets in communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship management. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead by example: As a leader of business analysts, this role supervises and guides a team of business analysts, providing direction, mentoring, and support in their initiatives. Provide a clear framework for the team's goals and help ensure everyone is aligned and focused on achieving the same objectives. Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for enhancement in conducting business analysis work and develop strategies to gather business requirements. Create a central Business Analysis playbook with templates to build a strong and scalable function. Update documentation to align with the latest industry standards. Periodically deliver workshops on topics related to practices to effective requirement gathering. Share knowledge and insights from external training sessions through internal knowledge-sharing sessions. Through data analysis and stakeholder collaboration develop strategies to streamline and optimize business processes. Work closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements, document workflows, and create detailed process maps and diagrams. Collaborate with technology teams to support process improvement initiatives to implement new technologies effectively. Partner with program / portfolio / project managers and product owners / managers to oversee and organize initiatives / intake into strategically manageable and related workstreams or projects. Establish performance metrics to measure and monitor the effectiveness of the business analysis function and prepare reports to communicate progress to senior management. Review processes and procedures on an on-going basis for quality, accuracy, continual improvements, and business function efficiency. Facilitate adoption of new processes, technologies, and systems across the organization, ensuring smooth transitions and addressing potential resistance to change. Work closely with other teams to identify areas of collaboration and integration, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Maintain a strong relationship with customers and improve stakeholder satisfaction. Define and analyze issues to be resolved, advising the best course of action to improvement from experience and precedent. Conduct intake activities working with senior leaders to understand the needs and future direction of the company and team. Aligned with senior leadership and ability to advance the business analysis function across the organization. Skills: Exercise sound judgment with respect to the relative importance, priorities, time allocation and resource requirements. Present recommendations in a thoughtful and convincing manner. Excellent interpersonal skills as a collaborator and communicator with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to establish milestones and deliverables to manage customer expectations and ensure program and product success consistently and effectively. Ability to successfully lead and manage multiple executive stakeholder groups. Ability to facilitate and advise senior leaders. Ability to be open to possibilities and identify opportunities to establish business analysis function organically. Education & Experience Requirements: Experience: 10+ years of Business Process Improvement or Business Analysis experience working in a technology professional services product or consulting environment with a demonstrated track record of delivering business value. 4+ years of managerial experience leading teams. For part-time employees, time off rates will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. Tuition Remission: Immediate availability for Regular Exempt Staff. Spouses and dependent children are eligible for undergraduate tuition remission after two years of service. NOTE: For part-time employees (at least 50 percent of the time), tuition remission benefits are prorated. Hiring Range: $148,000.00 - $158,000.00
