Chef Table/Buffet Carver
We are seeking an experienced and professional Chef Table/Buffet Carver to join our dynamic Culinary team. This role is responsible for carving meats at chef tables and buffet stations during high-volume events, providing exceptional guest interaction, and maintaining the highest standards of food presentation and safety. The ideal candidate has strong knife skills, a polished appearance, and excels in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment. Key Responsibilities: Expertly carve meats such as prime rib, turkey, ham, and specialty proteins at live chef tables or buffet stations. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner while explaining dishes and portions. Maintain an organized, clean, and visually appealing carving station. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times. Assist with setup, breakdown, and restocking of buffet and carving stations. Communicate with culinary leadership and servers to ensure smooth flow of service. Provide support to the culinary team with prep and kitchen duties as needed. Qualifications: Minimum 12 years of cooking experience in a high-volume kitchen, banquet-style, catering, or fine dining (stadium, arena, or event venue experience a plus). Valid ServSafe or state-approved Food Handler's certification. Knowledge of various cooking techniques, including grilling, sauting, frying, and roasting. Strong knife skills and knowledge of proper carving techniques. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays according to event schedules.
