Role: Senior Process Piping Designer (Water/Wastewater)

High-tech, Semiconductor, industrial facilities, Oil and Gas, Water-Waste Water Project Summary: This position is a senior level
Senior Process-Piping Designer/BIM designer
with supervisory and management responsibilities. The role requires proficiency in detailed design of water and wastewater facilities and related infrastructure, as well as advanced skills in 3D design concepts and related technology. Responsibilities include: Develop piping system layouts in accordance with BIM requirements, including pipe spacing, fitting makeup, valve locations, and in-line components in 3D applications and 2D drawings, based on sketches, catalog cut sheets, and P&ID’s provided by engineers and senior design staff. Generate fabrication isometric drawings from 3D design models. Coordinate modeling and drawing production activities across all disciplines at the project level. Provide clash detection reports using Autodesk Navisworks or Bentley Navigator. Produce model interrogation data reports (e.g., quantities, parts list). Ensure quality control of drafted products and conformance with modeling and drawing standards, including project-specific CAD/BIM requirements. Create 2D drawing views from 3D models and develop final contract drawings. Produce engineering documents and related materials with minimal supervision. Provide basic CAD/BIM technical support to junior staff. Convert data between MicroStation and AutoCAD. Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering design. Highly motivated, results-driven, team-oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented, organized, with good follow-up skills. Knowledge of pipe standards such as AWWA and ANSI B16. Advanced proficiency in developing 2D process mechanical design drawings. Extensive knowledge of 3D design concepts. Advanced knowledge of BIM related to process mechanical design for piping, valves, and inline components. Understanding of structural design and its interface with process mechanical equipment and piping. Advanced skills in Autodesk Revit MEP or Bentley OpenPlant Modeler. Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation for 2D and 3D functions. Additional Qualifications: Experience in detailed design of water and wastewater facilities and infrastructure.
