Our client is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support their mission of assisting various New York State provider entities in completing mandatory Criminal History Record Checks.
In this role, candidates will follow program guidelines and perform essential clerical tasks, including answering phone calls from internal and external stakeholders, processing incoming faxes, and responding to emails. The position also requires accurate data entry into multiple databases and the ability to analyze entered data. Candidates may be assigned special projects or additional administrative tasks to support the Bureau’s operations.
Required (minimum) qualifications:
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) • At least one (1) year of experience in an office setting • At least one (1) year of experience in a customer service-related role • At least one (1) year of experience in data entry • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
Preferred qualifications:
• Associate’s degree or higher • Experience in a government agency (local, state, or federal) or as a contractor for one • Background in healthcare administration and/or familiarity with healthcare policies • Experience working in a fast-paced environment • Ability to multi-task effectively
