Software Engineer I (New Grad) (Onsite)

Primary Responsibilities: + Design, develop, integrate, test, and debug real time systems software + Work with cross functional Agile teams to understand customer requirements and deliver solutions within specified budget, schedule, and scope + Support, maintain, and enhance existing software products + Participate in Agile meetings: daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and program increment planning events + Generate engineering design documentation and participate in software code peer reviews + Provide accurate time estimates for software development efforts + Actively learn new technologies and techniques and apply them to new domains and problem sets + Travel to support onsite installation and integration activities Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience OR + In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required + Must be a U.S. Citizen + Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements Preferred Qualifications: + Active Clearance (within 24 months) + Proficiency in C/C++/C# and OOP + Usage of Visual Studio or Eclipse + Usage of Configuration Management tools (SVN, Git, ClearCase, etc.) + Comfortable programming with Windows and/or Linux OS + Practical application of software development in Agile frameworks such as SCRUM + Strong collaborator and teammate + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Eagerness and enthusiasm to apply academic knowledge and learn the Aerospace and Defense industry Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
