**Job Summary**
Our HR Technology team (HRT) is seeking a Senior Manager to join the team! As a partner to the HR and fellow IT departments within Vail Resorts, this leader will be responsible for managing the portfolio of enterprise HR applications, which includes Oracle PeopleSoft, ServiceNow, SAP, SuccessFactors, and Cornerstone/Saba. The scope of this role includes technology strategy and architecture, operational execution, and leadership of a dedicated team of business analysts who help maintain and administer our HR platforms. This person will play an integral role in connecting the HRT team with key stakeholders, providing thought leadership and strategic partnership in the delivery of key projects, system design, and daily production tasks. This role will also be an active contributor to the execution of an enterprise-wide initiative to develop a multi-year strategy and plan for a full HR system and process transformation. Superior leadership qualities, excellent verbal communication skills, and technical aptitude are requirements for this critical leadership role in the IT department. This position reports to the Director of HR Technology and collaborates directly with key business and IT stakeholders to ensure the successfully delivery of HR technology initiatives.
**Job Responsibilities**
**_General_** :
+ Partner with leadership and cross-functional business/IT teams to deliver on projects/initiatives while balancing the day-to-day operations
+ Provide technical thought leadership on new business opportunities and/or issues
+ Thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
+ Identify process improvement opportunities, execute against those opportunities, and successfully realize quantifiable benefits
+ Provide oversight for the feature enhancements and project support of HR applications
+ Ensure adherence to all compliance requirements (SOX/PCI) and enforce IT standards for enterprise consistency
+ Assist with the management of the annual expense and capital budgets specific to HR Technology
**_Team Management:_**
+ Provide leadership, direction and feedback to the business analysts on the HR Technology team; empower the team to drive the day-to-day support of operations and execute their designated application roadmaps
+ Manage the team’s resource allocation across production support, backlog management & strategic projects by partnering with the Senior Manager of Delivery
+ Guide business analysts to define application requirements and standards to effectively manage a secure, scalable, and high-performance HR systems ecosystem
**_Business/Vendor Partnership:_**
+ Partner with key stakeholders (business & vendors) to drive effective prioritization of their business objectives and help inform on a strategic multi-year HR technology roadmap
+ Manage vendor relationships, including adherence to quarterly business reviews and roadmap discussions; assist with contract renewals and negotiations
+ Own the relationship with professional services partners/agencies when external contractors are engaged
+ Facilitate multi-disciplinary strategic discussions with senior business and technology leaders combined with strong, clear and concise communications skills
**Job Requirements**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology or related field
+ 3+ years of people management experience
+ HR Technology/HRIS background of 5+ years, preferred 3+ years of people management experience
+ Previous experience managing software applications, projects, budgets, and internal/external resources
+ Vendor management experience
+ Driven, resourceful, and self-directed problem solver with ability to work under pressure; we are looking for someone who has consistently demonstrated growth in their own skills & leadership and is a natural leader
+ Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical processes to the non-technical, and present to senior leadership
+ Ability to drive strategy, vision, direction, and prioritization on enterprise-wide projects and programs at the senior leadership level
+ Informed on industry standards and practices, and a forward thinker on new and innovative approaches
+ Strong organizational and time management skills
+ Demonstrated strong skills and proficiency level in troubleshooting, support, analysis and resolution
+ Preferred experience supporting, administering and managing HR technology applications (Oracle PeopleSoft, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, ServiceNow, etc.)
+ Fluent in English
The budgeted range starts at $112,000 - $130,000 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
