**Job Overview:**
We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic 21-bed Renal Medical-Surgical unit. This unit specializes in providing high-quality care for patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases, post-dialysis needs, and various complex medical-surgical conditions. Our ideal candidate is confident in managing renal-related complications and thrives in a fast-paced environment, adept at handling high patient turnover.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult renal and medical-surgical patients.
- Manage patients with acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and post-dialysis needs.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry while providing regular assessments.
- Collaborate with nephrologists and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Float as needed to similar Medical-Surgical units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.
**Qualifications:**
- Valid and active Ohio RN license (required upon submission).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience (renal experience preferred).
- Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips.
- Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) proficiency (mandatory; no training provided).
- Competency test required on Day 1; failure will result in immediate contract termination.
- Demonstrated adaptability, efficiency, and strong critical thinking in high-volume settings.
**Additional Details:**
- No on-call requirement.
- Candidates must meet all qualifications at the time of submission.
- Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours during the 13-week contract period.
