Summary
AtTimberQuest, theSenior Staff Accountantplays a key role in supporting our financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing, reporting, and compliance. Acting as a financial steward, this position helps safeguard company assets, uphold internal controls, and deliver reliable financial data that supports strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Act as a financial gatekeeper to safeguard company assets and ensure adherence to corporate financial policies and risk controls Process daily transactions, including accounts payable, receivables, billings, and general ledger entries Track lien waivers, retention payments, and respond to vendor/subcontractor inquiries Prepare and file Sales and Use Tax returns Follow up on past due accounts receivable in coordination with project teams Manage cash tracking, reconciliation, and complete monthly bank reconciliations Prepare assigned balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations and assist with month-end close Review general ledger accounts for accuracy; investigate and correct discrepancies Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting Provide accounting guidance and support to project teams with a strong understanding of construction-specific processes Contribute to ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent work experience 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with 3+ years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the construction industry Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Viewpoint (Vista) preferred Proficiency with BI and budgeting tools, preferably Power BI and Prophix. Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced, team-oriented environment Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with California’s pay transparency requirements, thebase salary range for this position is $94,000 – $110,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may also include performance-based bonuses.
